राक्षसेन्द्रनिवेशनविचारः (Survey of Ravana’s Residence and Lanka’s Inner Quarters)
भवनम् क्रममाणः णोऽसौ हनुमान्मारुतात्मजः।।5.6.26।।तेषु तेषु महार्हेषु भवनेषु महायशाः।तेषामृद्धिमतामृद्धिं ददर्श स महाकपिः।।5.6.27।।
teṣu teṣu mahārheṣu bhavaneṣu mahāyaśāḥ |
teṣām ṛddhimatām ṛddhiṁ dadarśa sa mahākapiḥ ||5.6.27||
In those many priceless mansions, the illustrious great monkey beheld the overflowing prosperity of the wealthy.
The illustrious son of the Windgod jumped from house to house in an order and saw the wealth of the wealthy in the lofty mansions.
The verse implicitly teaches discernment: wealth and splendor are observable facts, but dharma requires remaining unattached and judging by righteousness, not opulence.
As Hanumān searches, he witnesses the grandeur and riches within rākṣasa mansions across Laṅkā.
Non-attachment and focus: despite seeing luxury, Hanumān stays committed to his truthful purpose—finding Sītā.
