“O Lord, take your delight here with the daughters of the Devas and the Gandharvas, and also with the maidens of the Yakṣas. What will you do with Sītā?”
'O lord! you enjoy with the daughters of gods, gandharvas and even the young ladies of yakshas. Why do you need Sita?'
Dharma warns that craving what is forbidden (another’s wife) leads to ruin; ethical boundaries are not negotiable by desire.
Mandodarī offers alternatives and tries to break Rāvaṇa’s obsession with Sītā.
Practical wisdom and protective intent: she aims to avert sin and its consequences for the household and kingdom.
