कर्तुमर्हसि रामस्य साहाय्यं विषये सती।अथवा मैथिलीं दृष्ट्वा रामं चाक्लिष्टकारिणम्।।।।आगमिष्यामि ते वक्त्रं सत्यं प्रतिशृणोमि ते।
kartum arhasi rāmasya sāhāyyaṃ viṣaye satī | athavā maithilīṃ dṛṣṭvā rāmaṃ cākliṣṭakāriṇam || āgamiṣyāmi te vaktraṃ satyaṃ pratiśṛṇomi te |
“Since you dwell within Rāma’s domain, it is fitting that you aid Rāma’s cause. Otherwise, after I have seen Maithilī and reported to Rāma—who acts without faltering—I shall return and enter your mouth; I promise you this as truth.”
"I told her that it is proper for her (living in the domain of Rama) to help his queen and wife. Or else, I promised after I disclose to Rama, Sita's whereabouts, I will come and enter her mouth.
Satya and dharma of keeping one’s word: Hanumān negotiates without deceit and binds himself by a truthful promise while safeguarding the higher duty of the mission.
Confronted by Surasā’s demand, Hanumān requests passage to complete his task, promising to return afterward if required.
