सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
इति शोकसमाविष्टश्चिन्तामहमुपागतः।।5.58.158।।अथाहं वाचमश्रौषं चारणानां शुभाक्षराम्।जानकी न च दग्धेति विस्मयोदन्तभाषिणाम्।।5.58.159।।
iti śoka-samāviṣṭaś cintām aham upāgataḥ |
athāhaṃ vācam aśrauṣaṃ cāraṇānāṃ śubhākṣarām |
jānakī na ca dagdheti vismayodanta-bhāṣiṇām ||
Overwhelmed by sorrow, I fell into anxious thought; then I heard the Cāraṇas’ auspicious words, proclaiming as wondrous tidings: “Jānakī has not been burned.”
"Thus I was overtaken by sorrow and worry. Just then I heard the wonderful propitious utterances of charanas announcing that Sita was not burnt.
The repeated reading reinforces Satya as stabilizing Dharma: truth dispels guilt-driven confusion and restores right orientation.
This repeats the reassurance episode: celestial bards declare that Sita was not burned in the conflagration.
