सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
वसतो ऋश्यमूके मे पर्वते विपुलद्रुमे।राघवो रणविक्रान्तो मित्त्रत्वं समुपागतः।।।।
vasato ṛśyamūke me parvate vipuladrume | rāghavo raṇavikrānto mitratvaṃ samupāgataḥ ||
While I was dwelling on Ṛśyamūka mountain, rich with great trees, Rāghava—valiant in battle—entered into friendship with us.
'While I was dwelling at the wooded-mountain in Rshyamuka, a treaty of friendship was made with Rama, who is skilled in war.
Dharma includes faithful alliance: friendship is presented as a principled bond formed in a righteous cause, not opportunism.
