सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
ततो मे बुद्धिरुत्पन्ना चैत्यप्रासादमाक्रमम्।तत्रस्थान्राक्षसान् हत्वा शतं स्तम्भेन वै पुनः।।।।ललामभूतो लङ्कायास्स वै विध्वंसितो मया।
tato me buddhir utpannā caityaprāsādam ākramam |
tatrasthān rākṣasān hatvā śataṃ stambhena vai punaḥ ||
lalāmabhūto laṅkāyās sa vai vidhvaṃsito mayā |
Then a plan arose in my mind: I stormed the lofty shrine-mansion; and with a pillar I again slew a hundred rākṣasas stationed there. That building—an ornament of Laṅkā—was destroyed by me.
"Then a thought struck my mind. I took hold of a pillar of the tall, decorated mansion of Lanka and killed with it all the hundred demons stationed there.
Dharma as protective force: Hanumān’s violence is not for greed, but as a mission-aligned response against unlawful captivity and intimidation—action constrained by purpose.
Hanumān escalates his disruption in Laṅkā, attacking a prominent shrine-mansion and defeating the rākṣasas posted there.
