सप्तपञ्चाशः सर्गः — Hanumān’s Return, Roar of Success, and the Announcement “Sītā Seen”
अहो स्वामिनि ते भक्तिरहो वीर्यमहो धृतिः।दिष्ट्या दृष्टा त्वया देवी रामपत्नी यशस्विनी।।।।दिष्ट्या त्यक्ष्यति काकुत्स्थ श्शोकं सीतावियोगजम्।
aho svāmini te bhaktir aho vīryam aho dhṛtiḥ |
diṣṭyā dṛṣṭā tvayā devī rāmapatnī yaśasvinī ||
diṣṭyā tyakṣyati kākutsthaḥ śokaṃ sītāviyogajam |
Ah—how great is your devotion to your lord; ah—your valor and your steadfast courage! By good fortune you have seen the illustrious queen, Rāma’s wife. By that same good fortune, the Kakutstha will cast off the grief born of separation from Sītā.
"O! your devotion to the king, O! your valour, fortitude and courage is admirable. You could see Rama's wife, an illustrious lady. This is a matter of our good luck. Rama will (now) shed the sorrow due to separation from Sita.
The verse upholds dharma as loyal service (bhakti) to a righteous ruler and truthful reporting of success: devotion and steadfast effort become instruments to relieve suffering and restore righteous order.
After Hanumān’s successful sighting of Sītā in Laṅkā, the vānaras recognize that this truthful confirmation will end Rāma’s despair and renew the mission’s momentum.
Bhakti (devotion) joined with dhṛti (fortitude): unwavering commitment to Rāma despite danger and hardship.
