सप्तपञ्चाशः सर्गः — Hanumān’s Return, Roar of Success, and the Announcement “Sītā Seen”

हर्षेणापूर्यमाणोऽसौ रम्ये पर्वतनिर्झरे।।।।छिन्नपक्ष इवाऽकाशात्पपात धरणीधरः।

harṣeṇāpūryamāṇo 'sau ramye parvata-nirjhare | chinna-pakṣa ivākāśāt papāta dharaṇīdharaḥ ||

Filled with joy, he dropped from the sky onto the bank of a lovely mountain stream—like a wing-shorn mountain falling down from the heavens.

Overwhelmed with immeasurable joy, Hanuman descended from the sky like the mountain with its wings cut off and dropped on the bank of a mountain stream.

H
Hanumān
M
Mahendra region (implied mountain terrain)

The verse highlights dharmic fulfillment—joy arises not from conquest but from accomplishing a righteous objective.

Hanumān finishes his flight and lands near the mountain streams where the Vānaras await.

Controlled power—he descends decisively, yet with inner joy and composure after success.
