Shloka 5.57.27

सप्तपञ्चाशः सर्गः — Hanumān’s Return, Roar of Success, and the Announcement “Sītā Seen”

गिरिगह्वरसंलीनो यथा गर्जति मारुतः।।।।एवं जगर्ज बलवान् हनुमान्मारुतात्मजः।

girigahvarasaṅlīno yathā garjati mārutaḥ | evaṁ jagarja balavān hanumā́n mārutātmajaḥ ||

Like the wind thundering when confined within mountain caverns, so roared mighty Hanumān, the son of the Wind-god.

Hanuman, the powerful son of the Wind-god roared like the wind captured in a mountain cave would.

Dharma here is expressed as steadfast strength used in service of a righteous mission—power disciplined toward a just cause rather than for vanity.

Hanumān has returned from Laṅkā toward Mahendra mountain and announces his presence with a thunderous roar.
