षट्पञ्चाशः सर्गः — वैदेही-आश्वासनम् तथा अरिष्टारोहणम् (Consoling Sita and Ascending Mount Arishta)

Pressed down then by that ape, the mighty mountain groaned as it sank into the earth along with its creatures—its peaks trembling and its trees falling.

Pressed under the feet of Hanuman, the great mountain made loud sound sinking into the earth along with all its creatures, with its shaken mountain peaks and uprooted trees dropping down.

The verse implies responsibility that accompanies power: even dharmic action can shake the world, so strength must remain governed by righteous intent and restraint.

Hanuman’s force at takeoff compresses the mountain; it groans and sinks, with tremors causing peaks and trees to shake and fall.

Overwhelming capability directed toward a higher duty—his power is instrumental to the mission, not an end in itself.
