Having climbed the mountain-king, that great ape expanded his body, longing to reach the northern shore of the salt ocean from the southern side.
On ascending the king of mountains, desiring to reach the northern shore of the salt-water ocean from the Southern shore, he enlarged his body (in preparation to leap).
Right effort (dharma-yukta prayatna): Hanuman adapts himself to the task, showing that righteous goals require preparedness, not mere intention.
Hanuman readies himself to leap across the ocean back toward Rama by enlarging his form atop the mountain.
Determination and strategic readiness—he measures himself to the duty ahead.
