Shloka 5.51.28

हनूमदुपदेशः रावणस्य च कोपः (Hanuman’s Counsel to Ravana and Ravana’s Wrath)

न तु धर्मोपसंहारमधर्मफलसंहितम्।।।।तदेव फलमन्वेति धर्मश्चाधर्मनाशन:।

na tu dharmopasaṃhāram adharmaphalasaṃhitam | tadeva phalam anveti dharmaś cādharmanāśanaḥ ||

But the culmination of dharma does not become joined to the fruits of adharma. The fruit follows its own cause—and dharma destroys adharma.

"The fruit of dharma does not accrue to one who has reached the culmination of adharma. Unrighteousness will destroy the fruits of righteousness.

Moral causality is consistent: dharma yields dharmic results, adharma yields destructive results; dharma ultimately nullifies adharma.
