इन्द्रजित्प्रेषणम्—ब्रह्मास्त्रबन्धः, हनूमद्ग्रहणं, रावणसभाप्रवेशः (Indrajit’s Deployment—Brahmāstra Binding, Hanuman’s Capture, Entry into Ravana’s Court)

स ददर्श महातेजा रावणः कपिसत्तमम्।रक्षोभिर्विकृताकारैः कृष्यमाणमितस्ततः।।।।

sa dadarśa mahātejā rāvaṇaḥ kapisattamam | rakṣobhir vikṛtākāraiḥ kṛṣyamāṇam itas tataḥ ||

The mighty, radiant Rāvaṇa saw the foremost of monkeys being dragged here and there by grotesque-looking rākṣasas.

Resplendent Ravana saw the ogres of ugly appearance dragging the foremost of the monkeys here and there.

The verse contrasts outer power and inner worth: dharma honors dignity even in conflict, while adharma humiliates and brutalizes the captive.

Hanumān is physically hauled into court; Rāvaṇa beholds him amid the commotion of guards.

Hanumān’s resilience is implied—despite being dragged, he remains the ‘foremost,’ defined by merit rather than circumstance.
