तेन बद्धस्ततोऽस्त्रेण राक्षसेन स वानरः।अभवन्निर्विचेष्टश्च पपात स महीतले ।।।।
tena baddhas tato ’streṇa rākṣasena sa vānaraḥ |
abhavan nirviceṣṭaś ca papāta sa mahītale ||
Then that monkey—Hanuman—bound by the rākṣasa’s missile, became unable to move and fell upon the ground.
Then Hanuman bound by the weapon of the demon was unable to move and fell on the ground.
Dharma here points to composure under adversity: even a powerful hero can accept a temporary check without panic, preparing the ground for disciplined, righteous response rather than impulsive violence.
Hanumān is struck by a rākṣasa’s missile and, being bound by its force, becomes motionless and falls to the ground.
