yathā taṃ puruṣavyāghraṃ gātraiḥ śokābhikarśitaiḥ | saṃspṛśeyaṃ sakāmāhaṃ tathā kuru dayāṃ mayi ||
Have compassion on me, and act so that I, filled with longing, may embrace that tiger among men—Rāma—with my limbs emaciated by grief.
"Be kind to me and act in such a manner that I may embrace my lord passionately withmy body emaciated with grief.
The phrase 'śokābhikarśitaiḥ' highlights her intense Pativratya Dharma (devotion to husband) and the physical toll of her separation (Viraha) and penance while held captive.
It translates to 'Tiger among men', an epithet for Rama signifying his supreme valor, nobility, and strength, contrasting with Sita's current vulnerable state.
