हनूमत्सीतासंवादः — Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal

इति सञ्जल्पमानां तां रामार्थे शोककर्शिताम्।आश्रुसम्पूर्णनयनामुवाच वचनं कपिः।।।।

iti sañjalpamānāṃ tāṃ rāmārthe śokakarśitām |

āśrusampūrṇanayanām uvāca vacanaṃ kapiḥ ||

As she spoke thus—worn down by grief for Rāma, her eyes brimming with tears—the monkey addressed her with words.

While Sita, tormented with grief on account of Rama was thus speaking, her eyes filled with tears, the monkey said:

S
Sītā
R
Rāma
H
Hanumān

Dharma includes compassionate response to suffering—Hanumān’s timely speech arises in the presence of Sītā’s pain.

After Sītā’s lament and praise of Rāma, the narration turns to Hanumān beginning his reply.

Karunā (compassion) and seva-bhāva (service-mindedness) in Hanumān’s approach.
