सीताप्रत्यय-प्रदानम् (Sita’s Recognition and Reassurance by the Envoy)
ततस्सा ह्रीमती बाला भर्तृसन्देशहर्षिता।परितुष्टा प्रियं कृत्वा प्रशशंस महाकपिम्।।।।
tatas sā hrīmatī bālā bhartṛ-sandeśa-harṣitā | parituṣṭā priyaṃ kṛtvā praśaśaṃsa mahākapim ||
Then the young Sītā, bashful and delighted by her husband’s message, satisfied and wishing to respond with grace, praised the great ape, Hanumān.
Young Sita felt delighted about her husband's news and blushed. By praising him for his action, she pleased the great monkey.
Gratitude and propriety (maryādā): responding to service with respectful praise is a dharmic social ethic, strengthening trust and righteous alliances.
After hearing Rāma’s message brought by Hanumān, Sītā becomes heartened and acknowledges Hanumān’s service.
Sītā’s humility and gratitude—she honors the messenger and his effort rather than focusing only on her own distress.
