सीताप्रत्यय-प्रदानम् (Sita’s Recognition and Reassurance by the Envoy)
गृहीत्वा प्रेक्षमाणा सा भर्तुः करविभूषणम्।भर्तारमिव सम्प्राप्ता जानकी मुदिताऽभवत्।।।।
gṛhītvā prekṣamāṇā sā bhartuḥ karavibhūṣaṇam | bhartāram iva samprāptā jānakī muditābhavat ||
Taking the ornament that had adorned her husband’s hand and gazing upon it, Jānakī became glad, as though she had truly reached her lord himself.
She received the ornament that adorned her husband's hand and gazed at it and felt delighted as though her husband had arrived.
Satya through valid recognition: a truthful token (the ring) becomes ethical evidence, dispelling doubt and sustaining righteous hope amid deception.
Sītā receives and contemplates Rāma’s ring brought by Hanumān; the object confirms Hanumān’s message and revives her joy.
Sītā’s steadfast devotion and her discernment in accepting proof before trusting.
