सीताप्रत्यय-प्रदानम् (Sita’s Recognition and Reassurance by the Envoy)
न त्वामिहस्थां जानीते रामः कमललोचने।तेन त्वां नानयत्याशु शचीमिव पुरन्दरः।।।।
na tvām ihasthāṁ jānīte rāmaḥ kamalalocane | tena tvāṁ nānayaty āśu śacīm iva purandaraḥ ||
O lotus-eyed one, Rāma does not know that you are here; therefore he has not at once carried you away—just as Purandara (Indra) carried off Śacī.
"O lotus-eyed one! Rama knows not that you are here. Therefore he has not taken you away immediately as did Indra to rescue his wife Sachi.
Dharma is truth-speaking that removes misunderstanding: Hanumān clarifies that delay is due to lack of information, not lack of love or duty.
