रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)
तेषां नो विप्रणष्टानां विन्ध्ये पर्वतसत्तमे।भृशं शोकपरीतानामहोरात्रगणा गताः।।।।
teṣāṃ no vipraṇaṣṭānāṃ vindhye parvatasattame | bhṛśaṃ śokaparītānām ahorātragaṇā gatāḥ ||
When we lost our way on the excellent Vindhya mountain, many days and nights passed for us, overwhelmed by deep sorrow.
"We wasted many nights and days immersed in disappointment (for not being able to find you) and we missed our path in the great Vindhya mountain.
Dharma includes steadfastness amid hardship: even when disoriented and distressed, the mission’s seriousness is acknowledged rather than treated lightly.
Hanumān recounts how the search party strayed in the Vindhya region and endured prolonged grief and delay.
Kṣamā and dhṛti (forbearance and endurance): continuing through fear and sorrow without abandoning concern for Sītā.
