सीताहनूमद्भाषणम् — Sita Tests the Messenger; Hanuman Offers Reassurance

नाहमस्मि तथा देवि यथा मामवगच्छसि।विशङ्का त्यज्यतामेषा श्रद्धत्स्व वदतो मम।।।।

nāham asmi tathā devi yathā mām avagacchasi | viśaṅkā tyajyatām eṣā śraddhatsva vadato mama ||

O Devī, I am not as you suspect me to be. Cast off this doubt, and trust my words as I speak.

"O goddess-like lady! I am not a deceitful person as you suppose me to be. Shake off your suspicion as I speak to you and trust me."ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē sundarakāṇḍē catustriṅśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the thirtyfourth sarga of Sundarakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.

H
Hanumān
S
Sītā

Dharma is truthful speech that builds trust—Hanuman invites scrutiny yet asks Sītā to judge by consistent, honest communication.

Sītā is cautious of deception in Laṅkā; Hanuman reassures her that he is a genuine messenger, not a rākṣasa’s trick.

Hanuman’s integrity and Sītā’s prudent discernment (healthy suspicion in hostile circumstances).
