सीताहनूमद्भाषणम् — Sita Tests the Messenger; Hanuman Offers Reassurance
न चिराद्रावणं संख्ये यो वधिष्यति वीर्यवान्।रोषप्रमुक्तैरिषुभिर्ज्वलद्भिरिव पावकैः।।5.34.33।।तेनाहं प्रेषितो दूत स्त्वत्सकाशमिहागतः।त्वद्वियोगेन दुःखार्त स्स त्वां कौशलमब्रवीत्।।5.34.34।।
na cirād rāvaṇaṃ saṅkhye yo vadhiṣyati vīryavān ।
roṣapramuktair iṣubhir jvaladbhir iva pāvakaiḥ ॥ (5.34.33)
tenāhaṃ preṣito dūtas tvatsakāśam ihāgataḥ ।
tvadviyogena duḥkhārtaḥ sa tvāṃ kauśalam abravīt ॥ (5.34.34)
This repeats the preceding statement: soon the heroic one will slay Rāvaṇa with blazing arrows; therefore I have come to you as a messenger, conveying Rāma’s inquiry about your welfare in his grief of separation.
"Heroic Rama will soon release many scorching, fiery arrows in anger and kill Ravana. I seek your permission as an envoy of Rama. Filled with grief by your separation, he has made inquiries about your welfare.
Reaffirmation of satya and duty: the messenger’s truthful declaration and the promise of righteous justice are reiterated for emphasis.
A duplicated/overlapping transmission repeats Hanumān’s envoy declaration and assurance of Rāvaṇa’s impending defeat.
