सीताहनूमद्भाषणम् — Sita Tests the Messenger; Hanuman Offers Reassurance

Seeing Janaka’s daughter afflicted with sorrow and bewildered by fear, mighty-armed Hanumān bowed down to her. Yet Sītā, trembling with fear, did not look at him again.

The long-armed Hanuman saw Sita, who was stricken with grief and deluded with fear. He prostrated to her. But out of fear she did not look at him.

Dharma appears as reverence and humility toward the virtuous (Hanumān’s bow), and as cautious self-protection under threat (Sītā’s guarded fear).

Hanumān tries to reassure Sītā through respectful salutation, but she remains fearful and avoids engaging.

Hanumān’s humility and respectful conduct; Sītā’s vigilance shaped by trauma.
