निमित्तप्रादुर्भावः — Auspicious Omens Arise for Sita
तस्याः पुनर्बिम्बफलाधरोष्ठंस्वक्षिभ्रुकेशान्तमरालपक्ष्म।वक्त्रं बभासे सितशुक्लदंष्ट्रंराहोर्मुखाच्चन्द्र इव प्रमुक्तः।।5.29.7।।
tasyāḥ punar bimbaphalādharauṣṭhaṃ svakṣibhrukeśāntam arālapakṣma |
vaktraṃ babhāse sitaśukladanṣṭraṃ rāhor mukhāc candra iva pramuktaḥ ||5.29.7||
Then her face—its lips like the bimba fruit, its brows and eyes beautiful, its eyelashes gracefully curved, its teeth bright and white—shone forth like the moon released from the mouth of Rāhu.
Her face shining with beautiful red lips like bimba fruit, sparkling teeth, and curved eyelashes with lovely brows extending up to her hair, she appeared like a Moon released from the mouth of Rahu.
Dharma is portrayed as inner purity that remains recoverable: when fear and grief lift, the truthful self shines again, like the moon emerging from eclipse.
After receiving encouraging indications, Sītā’s despair eases; her face regains brightness, signaling renewed confidence in righteous deliverance.
Sītā’s steadfastness: her dignity and truth-centered composure reassert themselves once hope is restored.
