निमित्तप्रादुर्भावः — Auspicious Omens Arise for Sita
भुजश्च चार्वञ्चितपीनवृत्तःपरार्थ्यकालागरुचन्दनार्हः।अनुत्तमेनाध्युषितः प्रियेण चिरेण वामः समवेपताऽशु।।5.29.3।।
bhujaś ca cārvañcitapīnavṛttaḥ parārthyakālāgarucandanārhaḥ | anuttamenādhyuṣitaḥ priyena cireṇa vāmaḥ samavepatāśu ||5.29.3||
And her left arm—beautifully curved, full and rounded, worthy of fine aloe-wood and sandal paste—once long used as the resting place for her incomparable beloved, suddenly began to throb.
Her stout left arm curved beautifully, fit for excellent agaru and sandal paste once the pillow by her beloved lord for long, throbbed suddenly.
Hope aligned with righteousness: the omen is narrated as a support for the virtuous, reinforcing perseverance in satya and dharma.
A second auspicious sign appears on Sītā’s body, suggesting the nearness of reunion with Rāma.
Constancy in love and vow—her devotion remains unchanged, and the narrative marks it with auspicious signs.
