त्रिजटास्वप्नवर्णनम् (Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal)
सीतां ताभिरनार्याभिर्दृष्टवा सन्तर्जितां तदा।राक्षसी त्रिजटा वृद्धा शयाना वाक्यमब्रवीत्।।5.27.4।।
apagacchata naśyadhvaṃ sītām āpnoti rāghavaḥ ||5.27.39||
ghātayet paramāmarṣī yuṣmān sārthaṃ hi rākṣasaiḥ |
Depart at once, or you will perish. Rāghava will regain Sītā, and in his utmost wrath he will destroy you together with the rākṣasas.
Then seeing the ignoble she-demons threatening Sita, an old demoness called Trijata, who was lying down there, said:
Persisting in adharma invites ruin; dharma is both a moral law and a protective order—those who torment the innocent face just retribution.
Trijaṭā warns the rākṣasīs to stop harassing Sītā, predicting Rāma’s successful rescue and punitive justice.
Rāma’s steadfast justice and protective duty toward Sītā, alongside Trijaṭā’s truthful admonition.
