सीताभर्त्सना — The Ogresses’ Threats to Sita and Her Vow of Fidelity

Whether afflicted or bereft of kingdom, he who is my husband is my lord and my teacher. Ever am I devoted to him, as Suvarcalā is devoted to the Sun.

'Dejected or dethroned from the kingdom, Rama is my lawful husband. I will ever remain devoted to Rama as Suvarchala, wife of the Sun-god is to him.

Dharma is constancy in rightful relationship: Sītā grounds her loyalty not in Rāma’s power or prosperity but in the truth of dharmic marriage.

Sītā answers coercion by affirming that Rāma remains her only husband whether or not he possesses royal fortune.

Unconditional fidelity and reverence (guru-bhāva) toward her rightful husband.
