Shloka 5.22.44

रावणस्य तर्जनं सीताया धर्मोक्तिः (Ravana’s Threats and Sita’s Dharma-Centered Reply)

प्रस्थितः स दशग्रीवः कम्पयन्निव मेदिनीम्।।।।ज्वलद्भास्करवर्णाभं प्रविवेश निवेशनम्।

prasthitaḥ sa daśagrīvaḥ kampayann iva medinīm |

jvaladbhāskaravarṇābhaṃ praviveśa niveśanam ||

Daśagrīva then departed, as though shaking the earth, and entered his residence—radiant like the blazing sun.

Thereupon the ten-necked demon departed, as if he was shaking the earth and entered his residence which was shining like the blazing mid-day Sun.

D
Daśagrīva (Rāvaṇa)
N
niveśana (palace/residence)

The verse contrasts external splendour and power with inner disorder: dharma evaluates character, not merely grandeur or force.

Rāvaṇa leaves the grove area and goes back into his palace.

By contrast, humility and self-governance are implied as virtues absent here; raw might is shown without moral refinement.
