Shloka 5.21.5
सीताया रावणं प्रति धर्मोपदेशः (Sita’s Dharmic Admonition to Ravana)
एवमुक्त्वा तु वैदेही रावणं तं यशस्विनी।।।।राक्षसं पृष्ठतः कृत्वा भूयो वचनमब्रवीत्।
atuṣṭaṃ sveṣu dāreṣu capalaṃ calitendriyam |
nayanti nikṛti-prajñaṃ paradārāḥ parābhavam ||
A man who is dissatisfied with his own wives, fickle and uncontrolled in his senses—whose mind is bent on deceit—will be led to humiliation by pursuing other men’s wives.
Glorious Vaidehi having thus spoken to the demon turned her back and continued:
Sense-control and contentment support dharma; uncontrolled desire and deceit lead inevitably to social and moral ruin.
Sītā warns Rāvaṇa that lust for another’s wife brings disgrace and downfall.
Discernment—Sītā diagnoses the inner causes of adharma (restlessness, lack of restraint).
