Shloka 5.2.39

लङ्कादर्शनं तथा रात्रौ सूक्ष्मरूपेण प्रवेशोपायचिन्तनम् (Vision of Lanka and Strategy for Nocturnal Entry)

भूताश्चार्था विपद्यन्ते देशकालविरोधिताः।विक्लबं दूतमासाद्य तमः सूर्योदये यथा।।।।

bhūtāś cārthā vipadyante deśakālavirodhitāḥ | viklabaṃ dūtam āsādya tamaḥ sūryodaye yathā ||

Plans already set in motion perish when they run against the proper place and time—especially when they fall into the hands of a bewildered messenger—just as darkness vanishes at sunrise.

'Just as darkness disappears at Sunrise, well-planned strategies also fail at the hands of a thoughtless messenger when they are set in opposition to proper time and place.

Dharma includes appropriateness (aucitya): even good aims fail if pursued at the wrong time/place or by an unfit agent; righteous ends require righteous, competent means.

Hanumān warns himself that an ill-timed move or loss of composure could destroy the mission in Laṅkā.

Self-governance and situational awareness: he stresses composure and timing as essential to success.
