अशोकवनिकायां सीतादर्शनम् (Sita Seen in the Ashoka Grove)

दुष्करं कृतवान्रामो हीनो यदनया प्रभुः।धारयत्यात्मनो देहं न शोकेनावसीदति।।।।

duṣkaraṁ kurute rāmo ya imāṁ mattakāśinīm |

sītāṁ vinā mahābāhur muhūrtam api jīvati ||

Rāma performs what is truly difficult: the mighty-armed hero lives on even for a moment without Sītā, whose radiance is intoxicating.

"Lord Rama had accomplished a difficult task in sustaining the body this way without allowing it to sink and perish during separation from her.

R
Rāma
S
Sītā

The verse underscores commitment and fidelity as dharma: love is not casual but binding, and righteous persons endure suffering without abandoning their vows and responsibilities.

Having found Sītā, Hanumān contemplates the intensity of Rāma’s separation and the difficulty of surviving without her.

Rāma’s steadfastness and loyalty; his capacity to endure pain without deviating from dharma.
