रावणान्तःपुर-पानभूमि-विचयः (Hanumān’s Survey of Rāvaṇa’s Inner Palace and Banquet Hall)
सन्तता शुशुभे भूमिर्माल्यैश्च बहुसंस्थितैः।।5.11.21।।हिरण्मयैश्च विविधैर्भाजनैः स्फाटिकैरपि।जाम्बूनदमयैश्चान्यैः करकैरभिसंवृता।।5.11.22।।
rājateṣu ca kumbheṣu jāmbūnadamayeṣu ca | pānaśreṣṭhaṁ tadā bhūri kapis tatra dadarśa ha ||5.11.23||
Then the monkey Hanumān saw there in great abundance the finest drink, stored in jars of silver and in vessels of pure gold.
(The banquet hall) appeared beautiful with many kinds of garlands arranged in different locations. Also there were vessels made of pure gold, crystalware and jars spread all over.
Dharma is reinforced through contrast: even the ‘best’ pleasures, presented with precious metals, remain secondary to righteous duty. Hanumān’s presence in such a place highlights commitment to satya and task over temptation.
Hanumān continues his reconnaissance and notices large quantities of premium drink kept in costly containers.
Self-mastery and purpose: Hanumān observes abundance without indulging, staying aligned with his mission to locate Sītā.
