As that powerful ‘elephant among monkeys’ sped along his course, the ocean along that very track seemed at once hollowed into a trough.
As the powerful monkey, an elephant among vanaras, was proceeding swiftly along, the ocean got instantly transformed into a trough on account of water swelling by the force of his flight.
Dharma is single-minded execution of responsibility: righteous resolve ‘carves a path’ even through vast obstacles, making the impossible seem traversable.
The narration depicts the ocean’s surface reacting to Hanumān’s passage, as if a channel forms along his flight-path.
Kārya-kauśala (effectiveness in action): his power is not merely great, but produces decisive progress toward the goal.
