समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing

हृतहृत्सा हनुमतापपात विधुराम्भसि।तां हतां वानरेणाशु पतितां वीक्ष्य सिंहिकाम्।।।।भूतान्याकाशचारीणि तमूचुः प्लवगोत्तमम्।

hṛtahṛtsā hanumatā papāta vidhurāmbhasi |

tāṃ hatāṃ vānarēṇāśu patitāṃ vīkṣya siṃhikām ||

bhūtāny ākāśacārīṇi tam ūcuḥ plavagottamam |

With her heart torn apart by Hanumān, the wretched Siṃhikā fell at once into the sea. Seeing her slain and cast down by the vanara, the sky-ranging beings addressed that best of leapers.

Heart torn asunder and killed by Hanuman, miserable Simhika instantly fell into the sea water. Observing it, the beings who ranged the sky said to the foremost of vanaras:

H
Hanumān
S
Siṃhikā
S
sea (ambhas)
S
sky-ranging beings (ākāśacāriṇi bhūtāni)

When harm is removed for the protection of a righteous purpose, the world itself bears witness—virtue is acknowledged by impartial observers.

Siṃhikā dies and falls into the ocean; celestial/supernatural observers then speak to commend Hanumān.

Effectiveness joined to restraint: Hanumān ends the threat and immediately returns to his duty.
