समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
श्रमं मोक्षय पूजां च गृहाण कपिसत्तम।प्रीतिं च बहुमन्यस्व प्रीतोऽस्मि तव दर्शनात्।।।।
śramaṃ mokṣaya pūjāṃ ca gṛhāṇa kapisattama |
prītiṃ ca bahumanyasva prīto ’smi tava darśanāt ||
O best of monkeys, set aside your fatigue and accept this offering; and honor our affection—your very presence delights me.
"O noble monkey! oblige us by accepting our offering given with love and be relieved of your fatigue. Your presence itself is welcome to me".
Atithi-dharma: sincere hospitality is a righteous act, and accepting it respectfully (when appropriate) honors the giver’s dharma and affection.
