Shloka 5.1.128

समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing

ततोऽहं मानयामि त्वां मान्यो हि मम मारुतः।त्वया मे ह्येष सम्बन्धः कपिमुख्य महागुणः।।।।

tato ’haṃ mānayāmi tvāṃ mānyo hi mama mārutaḥ |

tvayā me hy eṣa sambandhaḥ kapimukhya mahāguṇaḥ ||

Therefore I honor you, for Māruta is worthy of my reverence; and through you, O chief of monkeys, I have this noble bond—rich in virtue.

"O esteemed vanara! the Wind-god is revered by me and so I honour you. O chief of monkeys, my bondage with you is therefore of high value to me, indeed.

Maināka tells Hanuman that because he reveres Vāyu, he honors Hanuman too, acknowledging a virtuous relationship between them.
