Seeing it risen and standing before him in the midst of the salt sea, Hanumān concluded, “This is an obstacle set in my way.”

Hanuman considered the mountain rising up in the midst of the ocean and standing in front an impediment.

Dharma requires vigilance: even well-meant interventions can appear as impediments; the righteous must discern without losing commitment to the goal.

Mid-flight over the ocean, Hanumān notices Maināka rising before him and initially interprets it as a hindrance.

Alert discernment (viveka) joined to perseverance—Hanumān remains focused on the mission despite unexpected developments.
