वालि–मायावी–बिलप्रवेशः (Vali’s Pursuit of Mayavi and the Cave Episode)
तस्मिन् द्रवति सन्त्रस्ते ह्यावां द्रुततरं गतौ।प्रकाशश्च कृतो मार्गश्चन्द्रेणोद्गच्छता तदा4.9.10।।
tasmin dravati santraste hy āvāṃ drutataraṃ gatau | prakāśaś ca kṛto mārgaś candreṇodgacchatā tadā ||
When he fled in fear, we too ran after him even faster; and then, as the moon rose, the path became illuminated.
'Frightened, he ran. We too chased him running faster. As the Moon was rising the path was well-lit.
The verse supports the dharmic duty of confronting a threat: fear does not end responsibility; one pursues danger to restore safety and order.
Sugrīva describes the chase as Vālī and Sugrīva pursue a fleeing enemy, aided by moonlight.
