Shloka 4.67.10

हनूमद्विक्रम-प्रशंसा तथा महेन्द्रारोहणम् (Hanuman’s Self-Assertion of Power and Ascent of Mount Mahendra)

तस्याहं शीघ्रवेगस्य शीघ्रगस्य महात्मनः।मारुतस्यौरसः पुत्रः प्लवनेनास्मि तत्समः।।4.67.10।।

tasyāhaṃ śīghravegasya śīghragasya mahātmanaḥ | mārutasyaurasaḥ putraḥ plavanenāsmi tatsamaḥ ||

I am the true-born son of Maruta, the great Wind swift in his course; in leaping I am his equal.

'I am the lawful-son of the swift-moving Wind-god, Maruta, comparable to him in leaping.

Truthfully stating one’s capacity (satya) serves dharma when it is meant to shoulder responsibility and protect the righteous cause.

Hanumān, now awakened to his power, publicly affirms his ability to perform the ocean-leap by invoking his divine parentage.
