पञ्चषष्टितमः सर्गः — वानराणां प्लवन-पराक्रम-निरूपणम् (Assessment of the Vanaras’ Leaping Capacity; Jambavan Motivates Hanuman)
तद्यथा ह्यस्य कार्यस्य न भवत्यन्यथा गतिः।तद्भवानेव दृष्टार्थस्सञ्चिन्तयितु मर्हति।।।।
sa hi prasāde cātyarthaṃ kope ca harir īśvaraḥ |
atītya tasya sandeśaṃ vināśo gamane bhavet ||
For that lord among monkeys is exceedingly powerful—both in granting favor and in anger. If we depart having overstepped his command, destruction would follow.
'Therefore, think over well so that we do not fail ultimately. You have a vision.You should suggest means by which this mission does not misfire.'
Dharma includes fidelity to rightful authority: ignoring a just command breaks order (maryādā) and leads to ruin.
Aṅgada stresses the seriousness of Sugrīva’s instruction and warns that leaving the mission unfulfilled invites disaster.
Discipline under authority and awareness of moral causality (actions have consequences).
