सम्पातेः पक्षलाभः — Sampāti Regains His Wings and Re-energizes the Search

महाप्रस्थानमासाद्य स्वर्गते तु निशाकरे।मां निर्दहति सन्तापो वितर्कैर्बहुभिर्वृतम्।।।।

mahāprasthānam āsādya svargate tu niśākare |

māṃ nirdahati santāpo vitarkair bahubhir vṛtam ||

When Niśākara set forth on his final journey and attained heaven, sorrow has burned within me ever since, my mind hemmed in by countless troubled thoughts.

'Nishakara went on his last journey and attained heaven. Since then many sad thoughts have criss-crossed my mind and I am consumed with those thoughts.

The verse highlights truthful acknowledgement of grief and inner turmoil; Dharma begins with honest self-awareness rather than denial, so that one may later act rightly.

Sampāti, speaking to the vānaras during the search for Sītā, recalls Niśākara’s death and confesses how persistent sorrow and doubt have consumed him.

Candour (satya in speech) and reflective introspection—Sampāti openly admits his suffering and mental conflict.
