सम्पातिवाक्यम् (Sampati’s Intelligence Report on Sita’s Abduction)
क्व सीता केन वा दृष्टा को वा हरति मैथिलीम्।तदाख्यातु भवात्सर्वं गतिर्भव वनौकसाम्।।।।
kva sītā kena vā dṛṣṭā ko vā harati maithilīm |
tad ākhyātu bhavāt sarvaṃ gatir bhava vanaukasām ||
Where is Sītā? By whom was she seen? And who carried off the Maithilī? Tell us all—among us forest-dwellers, you are our sole refuge and way forward.
'Where is Sita now? By whom else was she seen while being carried? Pray, tell us everything. You are the ultimate saviour of monkeys.
Dharma is truth-seeking in service of justice: the searchers ask precise questions to establish facts and restore what is rightfully protected (Sītā).
The vānara party implores Sampāti to reveal everything he knows about Sītā’s abduction and the abductor.
Satya-anveṣaṇa (commitment to truth) and śaraṇāgati (seeking rightful guidance from one who knows).
