सम्पातिवाक्यम् (Sampāti’s Counsel and the Revelation of Laṅkā)
तस्मादाहारवीर्येण निसर्गेण च वानराः।आयोजनशतात्साग्राद्वयं पश्याम नित्यशः।।4.58.31।।
tasmād āhāra-vīryeṇa nisargeṇa ca vānarāḥ |
āyojana-śatāt sāgrād vayaṁ paśyāma nityaśaḥ ||
Therefore, O monkeys, by the vigor gained from our sustenance and by our very nature, we always see as far as a hundred yojanas, even across the sea’s expanse.
'O monkeys! therefore, by the strength of food and by nature we can always see beyond a hundred yojanas from this edge.
Dharma is competent service: natural gifts and earned strength should be applied to support a righteous cause (the search for Sītā).
