सम्पाति–अङ्गदसंवादः / Sampati and Angada: Genealogy, Jatayu, and the Search Vow
तदिच्छेयमहं श्रोतुं विनाशं वानरर्षभाः।।।।भ्रातुर्जटायुषस्तस्य जनस्थाननिवासिनः।
tad iccheyam ahaṃ śrotuṃ vināśaṃ vānararṣabhāḥ | bhrātur jaṭāyuṣas tasya janasthāna-nivāsinaḥ ||
Therefore, O best of vānaras, I wish to hear of the death of my brother Jaṭāyu, who lived at Janasthāna.
'O bulls among monkeys I desire to hear about the death of my brother Jatayu, who was dwelling at Janasthana.
Dharma includes accountability to truth about loss—Sampāti seeks an honest narration of Jaṭāyu’s end, not rumor or assumption.
