I wish to be helped down from this inaccessible mountain. And I am deeply gratified—after a very long time—to hear the name of my younger brother, that discerning and virtuous one, praised for his valor.

'I wish to be brought down from this inaccessible mountain peak by all of you. I am glad to have heard from you the name of my younger brother after a long time. He is virtuous, valiant and praiseworthy.

Honoring virtue and righteous reputation is itself dharmic—Sampāti values the truthful remembrance of a virtuous person’s name and deeds.

Sampāti asks the vānaras to help him descend and expresses joy at hearing of Jaṭāyu after a long separation.

Jaṭāyu’s guṇa (virtue) and vikrama (courage), acknowledged as worthy of praise.
