Shloka 4.53.28

Svayamprabha Leads the Vanaras Out (Time-Limit Crisis and Counsel)

Dharma is twofold: agents must accept responsibility for failure, and a ruler should avoid adharma (sin) through disproportionate punishment—hence Angada’s drastic proposal of self-expiation.

With no clue about Sītā and the deadline over, Angada argues for fasting unto death, urging the group to renounce worldly ties immediately.

Severe self-accountability and detachment—placing duty above personal attachments.
