एकोनपञ्चाशः सर्गः (Sarga 49) — Aṅgada Re-energizes the Southern Search Party
हनुमत्प्रमुखास्ते तु प्रस्थिताः प्लवगर्षभाः।विन्ध्यमेवादितस्तावद्विचेरुस्ते समन्ततः।।।।
hanumatpramukhās te tu prasthitāḥ plavagarṣabhāḥ | vindhyam evāditas tāvad vicerus te samantataḥ ||
Led by Hanumān, those foremost of the Vānara host set out and then ranged everywhere, searching through the Vindhya mountains from end to end.
The bulls among vanaras and Hanuman, the chief of the group again started exploring everywhere in the Vindhya range starting from the beginning.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē kiṣkindhākāṇḍē ēkōnapañcāśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the fortyninth sarga in Kishkindakanda of the first epic, the Holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
Dharma here is steadfast performance of entrusted duty: the searchers do not abandon their mission, but systematically cover the terrain everywhere.
