When the first day had passed and thus a month went by, the leaders of the monkey-troops came to Prasravaṇa; meeting the monkey-king, they were bereft of hope, having found no sign of Sītā.

They went looking everywhere in the tanks, in the bottom of rivers, in towns, in the sky and similarly in inaccessible rivers, mountains, and forts surrounded by rivers.

P
Prasravaṇa (mountain)
S
Sugriva (implied as kapirāja)
K
kapiyūdhapāḥ (troop leaders)
S
Sita (implied by context)

Dharma includes accountability: after sustained effort, they report back to the rightful leader rather than hiding failure.

A month of searching yields no success; the troop leaders return to Sugriva at Mount Prasravaṇa.

Integrity in service—returning to report truthfully despite disappointment.
