ततः पर्वतमासाद्य ऋष्यमूकं नृपात्मज।।।।न विवेश तदा वाली मतङ्गस्य भयात्तदा।

Transliteration

tataḥ parvatam āsādya ṛṣyamūkaṁ nṛpātmaja |

na viveśa tadā vālī mataṅgasya bhayāt tadā ||

Translation

Then, O prince, when I reached Mount Ṛṣyamūka, Vālī did not enter it at that time, for fear of Matanga and his curse.

'O prince Rama! then I reached mount Rishyamuka which Vali did not enter out of fearof the curse of Matanga.
