Shloka 4.41.14

दक्षिणदिशि सीतान्वेषण-आदेशः (Commissioning the Southern Search for Sītā)

अयोमुखश्च गन्तव्यः पर्वतो धातुमण्डितः।।4.41.13।।विचित्रशिखर श्श्रीमांश्चित्रपुष्पितकाननः।सचन्दनवनोद्देशो मार्गितव्यो महागिरिः।।4.41.14।।

tatas tām āpagāṃ divyāṃ prasannasalilāṃ śivām |

tatra drakṣyatha kāverīṃ vihitām apsarogaṇaiḥ ||

Thereafter you shall behold the divine river Kāverī, whose waters are clear and auspicious; there, it is said, hosts of apsarases sport.

'Look for Sita all over mount Ayomukha (known as Malaya), rich in ores. It has wonderful peaks. It looks colourful with the forest in bloom. This great mountain is full of sandalwood forest.

Dharma includes reverence for sacred places: the journey is not mere travel but a disciplined mission conducted through holy landscapes with purity of intent.

Sugrīva continues the southern itinerary, pointing out the Kāverī as a significant river they will encounter.
